17. Enjoy an “At Sea” day on the Regal Princess
As much fun as it is to visit the great cities of the Baltic region, most cruisers need a day off every now and then. Enter the free-flowing “At Sea” days. You can take a dip into the pool, join a Zumba class, sunbathe on the deck, press your luck at the on-ship casino, catch up on your reading… enjoy the good life, pretty much.
18. Catch a musical production or a Russian folkloric show
I love the production shows on Princess cruises. The singers, dancers and production crew are quite talented; the shows tap genres ranging from Broadway to Motown, oldies to jazz; and it’s not too hard to get one of the best seats in the house.
During the overnight stay in Saint Petersburg, you can also attend a special Russian folkloric show on the ship and watch a guy do this.
19. Eat to your heart’s content in the Princess dining rooms
Another of my favorite parts of all the Princess cruises I’ve been on is the food, especially the meals in the fine dining rooms. Since I’m more of a quick-bites guy, it’s always fun to choose from a menu of dishes that I don’t frequently encounter in my non-cruise life.
And I must admit that I can’t get enough of the “Princess Favorite” and my favorite as well, their simple and supremely satisfying Fettuccine Alfredo.
